Jo Anne Marie Brackett (Lebanon)'s Obituary
JoAnne Marie “Jo Jo” Brackett, daughter of Frank Stevens and Linda Goring, was born October 26, 1966, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She departed this life Monday, August 19, 2013, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-six years, nine months, and twenty-three days.
On March 26, 1990, she was united in marriage to Michael L. Brackett, and to this union two sons were born.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Jo Jo is survived by her husband of twenty-three years, Michael, of the home; two sons, Jonathan Brackett, and Matthew Brackett, both of Lebanon, Missouri; her father, Frank Stevens, of Moye, Idaho; her step-father, Vic Negot, of Pascagoula, Mississippi; a sister, Shelly Wommack, of Conway, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in various places across the country and attended school in Long Lane and Lebanon. She attended Missouri State University in Springfield, where she earned a degree in computer programming. After she and Michael were married, they made their home in the Niangua area and lovingly raised their sons. Jo Jo was a devoted homemaker to her husband and sons and also helped Michael in his motorcycle shop. She was particularly good at doing the bookkeeping and necessary paperwork at the shop.
Jo Jo had made her profession of faith in Christ and had been baptized.
She centered her life around her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her sons. She also liked camping, motorcycles, going to the lake, and visiting with her friends.
Jo Jo was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
