JoAnne Jasper (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Joanne Faye Jasper (Jo), 58, of Buffalo, MO passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, MO.
Joanne was born June 15, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Vincent and Myrna Stark Smith. From a young age, Joanne displayed love. She was always quick to help when it was needed, and if she couldn’t find a way, she made one. JoAnne was dedicated to her family both as a young woman and an adult. She loved her children and grandchildren ferociously, staying devoted until her last day. She took her love to the point that on the day she fell ill, she made calls comforting others and encouraging them. In her free time, Joanne loved to play. She wasn’t too proud to get on the ground with her grandchildren, to sing and dance, and to look like a whacko. She enjoyed going to yard sales to find fun new trinkets, as well as spending some relaxing time fishing. Joanne taught all those around her how to love deeply. She was and remains a blessing to all who had the honor of knowing her.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Myrna Smith, as well as her brothers; James, Butchy, John and Charles. She is also preceded by her stepson, Arley Jasper. She is survived by her loving husband, Cleo, as well as her children; Lynn and Brent Brown of Buffalo, MO, Lisa Kurtz of Buffalo, MO, Laura Kurtz of Buffalo, MO, Ronni and Kristen Kurtz of Kansas City, MO, and Eula and Rick Richardson of Springfield, MO. JoAnne is also survived by her grandchildren; Josh, Joanna, Jacob, Bradley, Lexee, Leah, Rylee, Elijah, Tyler, Lauren, Gavin, Michael, Vincent, Lillian, and Jaxson.
