Joe Ervin Dillon (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Joe Ervin Dillon, 87 of Buffalo, Missouri, passed away on June 21, 2020 at the Willard Care Center in Willard, Missouri. He was born on October 19, 1932 in Big Springs, Nebraska to Chester Charles and Icie Mae (Bramblett) Dillon.
Joe was a retired veteran and served in both the Air Force and the Army from February 23, 1951 to May 31 of 1972. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Louise Clemmons on October 25, 1980. He cared for her in her battle with Alzheimer’s and stood by her side for many years.
Joe was a noble man who lived a life of integrity – always showing respect to others. He took pride in his childhood homestead by spending most of his time preserving its land and heritage. Joe also enjoyed nurturing kittens and loved their companionship thought his life.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Louise; parents; his sister, Estella Erb; and nephews, Roland and Charles Erb. He is survived by his nephew, Jim Erb and four stepsons, Eddie, Paul, Eldon, and John Yates. He will also be missed by a host of many other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2020 in the Maple Lawn Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
