Joey Lee Starnes (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Joey Lee Starnes, son of Larry and Rose McDonald Starnes, was born January 11, 1968, in Hartford City, Indiana. He departed this life Sunday, June 26, 2016, at his home, near Phillipsburg, Missouri, at the age of forty-eight years, five months, and fifteen days.
On June 23, 1990, he was united in marriage to Belinda Fern Cook and they shared the last twenty-six years.
His mother preceded him in death.
Joey is survived by his wife, Belinda, of the home; his father, Larry Starnes, and his wife, Kathy, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Troy Starnes, and his wife, Susan, and Larry Wayne Starnes, and his wife, Penny, all of Lebanon, Missouri; one niece and one nephew; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Indiana and graduated from high school in Hartford City, Indiana. He then moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where he worked for Lowe Boats for twenty years. After he and Belinda were married, they made their home in Phillipsburg, Missouri. He was currently employed by Tracker Marine, where he had worked for the last four years.
Joey had followed the Baptist faith throughout his life.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He also liked working on small engines and making arrowheads. He never met a stranger and was always willing to talk to anyone. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephew.
Joey was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the happy memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Visitation will follow the service.
