John Baney's Obituary
John Joseph “Joe” Baney, son of Loel D. and Linda L. Oliver Baney, was born December 2, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, October 1, 2009, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of forty-three years, ten months and twenty-nine days. He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Nova and Bertice Baney; and his maternal grandparents, Bert and Wistra Oliver. Joe is survived by his mother, Linda Baney, of Hartville, Missouri; three children, Whitney, Lorinda and Quincy; an uncle, Harold Oliver and his wife, Susan, of Gladstone, Missouri; a great-aunt, Doris Oliver, of Hillsboro, Missouri; a number of cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Kansas City and most of his childhood was spent on the family farm northeast of Hartville. He attended Hartville High School where he graduated in the Class of 1984. He had been employed by the Hartville Mill for several years and also worked at the Bass-Tracker plant in Lebanon. For the last several years he had been living in the Fair Grove area. He loved his children, his wife held a special place in his heart. Listening to music and riding motorcycles gave him great pleasure. He also enjoyed horses and his dogs and cats. We don’t understand the twists of life sometimes, but the love for a father, a son, a nephew, a cousin and friend, will forever live on in our hearts. Services will be held at 7:30 pm on Monday October 5, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Hartville. Burial will be in the Steele Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7:00pm on Monday until time of service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Hartville, Missouri.
