John Blender (Lebanon)'s Obituary
John Robert Blender of Lebanon, Missouri was born February 18, 1947 in Purdin, Missouri to Hallie Blender and Mary Packham Jones. He passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 in his home at the age of seventy-five years, eleven months and ten days.
John moved with his family when he was very young to Lebanon, Missouri, where he attended Lebanon Schools. Following school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served faithfully as a cook. John’s career spanned over 30 years as a faithful employee of Carmeco in Lebanon.
On December 6, 1968, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Bacon and to this union, two sons and a daughter were born.
John is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son, John Blender, Jr.
He is survived by a son, Chris Blender and Heidi Engram of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Rosanna Underdown of Bolivar, Missouri; four grandchildren, John, Gracie, Zoe and Logan; a great-grandson, Beckett; and his sister, Faye Sebeniecher of Lebanon, Missouri.
In his free time, John enjoyed fishing and loved bowling. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan and when it came to movies, he liked watching John Wayne westerns. Some of his favorite moments were spending time with his family.
John has left a legacy of a dedicated, hard working man and a loving man to his family. We know his family will cherish the memories he created for them.
