John Crabtree's Obituary
John “Buster” Olen Crabtree, age 72, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 11, 1937 to Benjamin Luther Crabtree and Audrey May (VanWinkle) Crabtree. On April 5, 1957, John married Mable Marie Darnaby. Buster was a mechanic working on automobiles and recently worked for the past two years at Quarles Supply Company in Bolivar assembling tractors. He was an excellent handyman and loved to tinker. He never left anything undone. He was a member of the Harvest Assembly of God Church in Fair Play, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Audrey Crabtree, a son, Robin Olen Crabtree, two sisters, Vivian Bartlett, Peggy Overby and a brother, Randy Crabtree. Buster is survived by his wife, Marie Crabtree of the home, three daughters, April England and her husband John of Bolivar, Missouri, Gina Clancy of Bolivar, Missouri, Becky Kelly and her husband Patrick of Spokane, Washington, one son, John Luke Crabtree and his wife Kimberly of Bolivar, Missouri, three brothers, Larry Crabtree and his wife Sandy of Arkansas, Roger Crabtree of Missouri, Donnie Crabtree and his wife Patricia of California, three sisters, Jeannie Norsworthy and her husband Leon of Missouri, Sandy Garrett and her husband Mike of Arkansas, Kathy Mello of Missouri, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Harvest Assembly of God Church in Fair Play, Missouri with Reverend Lyle Shaulis officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections will be “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, “Amazing Grace” and “I Bowed On My Knees”. A visitation will be held from 6-7pm Friday evening at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3322 S.
