John Marion Curtner (Hartville)'s Obituary
John Marion Curtner, son of Hubert Lee Curtner and Elizabeth Ellen (Peacock) Curtner was born April 17, 1965 in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He departed this life Monday August 18, 2014 at his home in Hartville, Missouri at the age of forty-nine years, four months and one day.
On July 26, 1991, John was united in marriage to Cynthia Lynne Locatelli and together they shared 23 years of marriage.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Elizabeth Curtner and a sister Teresa Price.
He is survived by his children, step-son Jeffrey Hunter and wife Patricia of Grovespring, Missouri, step-daughter, Alisha Locatelli of Springfield , Missouri, son Christopher Curtner and Jamie Crider of Thayer, Missouri, and son Eric Curtner and wife Katherine of Hartville, Missouri; Six grandchildren, Mari, Meriyah, Maleeka and Marcus Hunter, Lukas Curtner and Amaya Curtner; Sister Deborah Fischer and husband Mark of Rogersville, Sister Judy Massey and husband Gary of Grovespring, Missouri and Brother Brad Curtner and wife Johanna of Springfield, Missouri; Eight nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces and nephews as well as several dear friends and relatives.
In his younger years, John enjoyed farm work and carpentry as well as mechanical work. He was skilled in many fields and to his family was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and everything outdoors and was always willing to lend a hand to friends in need.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We will treasure the short amount of time we were given with him on this earth and share the wonderful memories for years to come.
