John Fraley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
John Carl Fraley, son of Carl and Vila Mae Kelly Fraley, was born October 10, 1953, in Washington, D.C. He departed this life Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Mount Vernon Place Care Center, in Mount Vernon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, eight months, and twenty-six days.
On November 29, 1979, he married Evelyn Rebecca “Becky” Hill, and they shared the last thirty-five years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-father, O. V. Anthony.
John is survived by his wife, Becky, of Lebanon, Missouri; two daughters, Connie Fraley, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Vila Fraley, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Chuck Fraley, and his wife, Wendy, of Joplin, Missouri, Shawn Fraley, of Buffalo, Missouri, and Dustin Welch, and his wife, Tennille, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mason, Madisyn, Nathaniel, and Allison; two brothers, Shane Fraley, and his wife, Bobbi, of Fair Grove, Missouri, and Larry Smith, and his wife, Diane, of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Connie Huntley, of Bois D’Arc, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He lived most of his early years in Denver, Colorado, and then moved to Missouri, and eventually to Lebanon. John worked as a laborer on oil rigs in Wyoming, Utah, Kansas, and Texas for a number of years.
John had followed the Baptist faith and he and Becky were married at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon.
He was a fan of the Denver Broncos and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and enjoyed having fun. He liked being around people, and especially his grandchildren.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
