John Fredrick Haught (Lebanon)'s Obituary
John Fredrick Haught, son of Clyde and Juanita Haught, was born July 20, 1941, in Spencer, West Virginia. He departed this life Saturday, August 17, 2019, in Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, and twenty-seven days.
He was united in marriage to Patsy Gale York, and to this union two daughters were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Patsy, on July 10, 2013.
John is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Grady, and her husband, Mike, and Juanita Haught, all of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mason, Codi, Tyee, and Erika; three great-grandchildren, Bryan, Heath, and Leighann; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Spencer, West Virginia, and graduated from Spencer High School. While in school, he played on the football team and enjoyed hiking in the mountains. He served his country faithfully in the 1960’s during the Vietnam War. While in the military, he was a military boxer. John met his wife while at Busch Gardens in California, and sang to her. Three months later, they were married. After they were married, they made their home in Lebanon, Missouri, and lovingly raised their daughters. John worked as a truck driver for Landau Boats in Lebanon for a number of years.
John had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Idumea Baptist Church.
He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
