John Hopkins, Sr. (Humansville)'s Obituary
John Thomas Hopkins Sr. age 86, from Humansville, passed away on September 28, 2015. He born on June 14, 1929, the son of Henry Hopkins and Cloa (Akins) Hopkins.
John was born and raised in the Bona area. He served in the Marines from 1951 to 1953. Once returning home, he worked in the Kansas City area, at Armors and Rutherford’s Canning Company. Once he returned to the Humansville area, he was a Heavy Equipment Operator and was an owner operator of a feed truck for Moorman’s.
Preceding him in death is his parents and two sisters; Veta Sanders and Janet Coffin.
Surviving John is his two brothers; Jack Hopkins of Humansville, MO, William Hopkins and wife Virgie of Humansville, MO. Three Sisters; Alice Shroeder of Humansville, MO, Mildred Wilder of Humansville, MO, and Wilma Boyer of Edora, KS. Two sons; John Hopkins Jr. of Humansville, MO; Mark Hopkins of Collins, MO and one daughter April Hopkins of Buffalo, MO. Step Children; Patti Hutton, Dawn Jenkins, Lorrie Bridgeford, Chris Bridgeford, Linda Wakefield, Sandy Ramsey, Ginger Holt, Roseanna Green, Paul Aines, and DeWayne Barnes. 30 Grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
There is no services scheduled for Mr. Hopkins at this time. Mr. Hopkins is under the care and direction of Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, MO.
