I will always cherish the letter that Mr. Klug sent to me in 2002. He shared his memory of working late the night in Nov 1949 when my Daddy's flag drapped coffin arrived from the Philippines where he was killed in action in 1945. Mr. Klug watched Mom, my grandpa, and me waiting at the train depot and saluted upon his arrival. I was almost 6 yrs old. That night made a lasting memory for both of us. My heart goes out to all the family, and please know what a great father and husband you had. Every time I hear a lonely train whistle, I think of both Mr. Klug and my soldier dad.
