John Marler's Obituary
John N. Marler, son of Allen and Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Jackles Marler, was born May 4, 1916, in Blackjack, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, January 1, 2007, in Christian Healthcare North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety years, seven months, and twenty-seven days. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Alvin and Leonard Marler, twins Lloyd and Floyd Marler, and twin infants; and a sister, Daisy Marler Huff. John is survived by a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Blackjack, Missouri and then moved with his family to Potosi, Missouri when he was a child. He then made his home in Illinois for several years before moving to Lebanon, Missouri. He had worked in the timber industry as a wood cutter for several years. John had followed the Baptist faith and had attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon. John will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007 in the Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
