John Marvin Bull's Obituary
John Marvin Bull, son of Nolan Edward and Duel Beatrice (Brown) Bull, was born December 2, 1950 in Thayer, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, July 28, 2006, in his home, in Seymour, Missouri, with his wife and sister by his side, at the age of fifty-five years, seven months, and twenty-six days. On June 8, 1974, he was united in marriage to Lynne Carol Wann, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They have two children. He was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law, Susie Michler. John is survived by his wife, Lynne, of the home; a daughter, Trina Bull-Briones, and her husband, Fabian, of Fort Worth, Texas; a son, Zachary Bull, of Seymour, Missouri; six grandchildren, Lana Michelle Bull, Jackson John Bull, Jezza Marie Bull-Briones, Fabianna Briones, Fabian Briones, and Carolina Briones; five sisters, Jane Miller, and her husband, Ken, of Hamilton, Missouri, Naomi Kay King, and her husband, Ed, of Koshkonong, Missouri, Wynona “Curly” Simpson, of West Plains, Missouri, Marie Johnson, and her husband, Robert, of Strafford, Missouri, and Mary Madden, of Couch, Missouri; three brothers, Tom Bull, and his wife, Joan, Eddie Bull, and his wife, Jackie, all of Gatewood, Missouri, and Larry Bull, and his wife, Anna, of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas; his father-in-law, Conrad C. Wann, of Sacramento, California; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Thayer and grew up in Myrtle. He attended Couch School through tenth grade and finished high school at Fayette High School. He also attended School of the Ozarks for a year. He then entered the Sprinkler and Pipe Fitters Association, Local 669, in 1970, and retired in December of 2005. In 1981, he and his family moved to North Richland Hills, Texas, then to Newark, Texas. He then moved with his family to Sacramento, California for three years, and for the last fifteen years he had resided in Seymour, Missouri. John made his profession of faith in Christ at a Youth Bible Camp, and had served as a Deacon in churches in Newark, Texas, Sacramento, California, and the First Baptist Church of Seymour, Missouri. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed getting together with his brothers and sisters. He loved camping and fishing. He was a proud member of the Democratic Party and loved arguing politics with his Republican friends. In 1984, he became a Mason and had served in many different offices. He was a member of Hazelwood Masonic Lodge #459 AF&AM, in Seymour, Missouri. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be missed by all. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006, in the Seymour First Baptist Church, Seymour. Memorial contributions to The American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
