John and I went to Camdenton High School together. In March 1963 we went to St. Louis together to to take exams for entrance into the Navy. After graduation from HS we went to Great Lakes Naval Training Center for boot camp. After boot leave, we both returned to Great Lakes for further training but in different schools. I lost track of him at that time. I did not know that he had passed.
I am a childhood friend of John Neftzger (Johnny) & his sister Joy. We had a lot of happy childhood memories playing in the woods & creeks at Hyd-A-Cove Resort as well as Sandy Beach Resort. Then in 1955 my Dad (Ryland), Mother (Dorothy) & Grandmother (Modena) Shaw & I moved to Florida. That is when I lost track of John & Joy. I wish I had reconnected with them.
