John Robert Shepherd (Camdenton)'s Obituary
John Robert Shepherd, 83, of Newton, TX passed on Aug. 5th 2021. John was born in Linn Creek, MO to George and Helen Shepherd(Caviness). He retired from General Motors (Leeds Plant, Kansas City) in 1991 and was known by friends and family as a "Jack of all Trades" with a passion for tinkering and inventing. He loved designing works from steel and wood and visiting with friends at auctions.
John was preceeded in death by his parents George and Helen; brothers Jack, Louis, and Bruce; sisters Lilly Grahm, Dolly Snellings, and Betty Burch; and great-granddaughter Roselynn Virginia Whitteck.
He is survived by his loving family who misses him dearly including his four children; LaDonna(Bubbles) Smith, Helen(Cricket) Villalobos, Robert Shepherd, and Rocky Shepherd; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
A memorial service will be held at United Methodist Church of Joaquin 105 Faulkville St. Joaquin, TX 75954 on Saturday, September 25th at 2p.m.
As John would often end a conversation and even in our time of grief he would want us all to "have a good day and a better tomorrow".
