John Ray Smith (Lebanon)'s Obituary
John Ray Smith was born November 20, 1964, in Lebanon, Missouri, and departed this life Sunday, June 16, 2019, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clyde Smith; and a sister, Goldie.
John is survived by daughter, Mendy Smith, of Lebanon, Missouri;a son, Charley Ray Smith, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandsons, Jackson Ervin and Xavier Smith; three brothers , Billy Smith, Niangua, Missouri, Jimmy Beck, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Ronnie Smith, of Orlando, Florida; three sisters, Judy Carter, Michelle Anderson, and Phoebe Barrett; all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; an aunt/caregiver, “Auntie Em”, Emily Nickell, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He lived most of his life in the Lebanon and Laclede County area. Through the years, he had worked at Lowe Boat Company and the Durham Company.
He enjoyed being outdoors and especially going to the river. He loved animals and particularly his dog, “Bruce”.
John will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Union Mission Church in Lebanon, Missouri, Arrangements under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
