John Strunk (Bolivar)'s Obituary
John David Strunk, 78 of Bolivar, MO went home on August 15, 2016 after a brief illness. John was born August 31, 1937 to Raymond and Dorothy Strunk. John is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda and his brother, Russell Strunk. John is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth, Strunk; his siblings and their spouses, Delores Dean, Bonnie Kennedy, Wanda Smith, Jerry Strunk, Roseanne Dunn, Steve Strunk, Sue Hefner and sister in-law, Becky Strunk, John also leaves behind Madeline Dohle and his lil buddy, Grant Dohle. John was a very civic minded man who believed in service to others. He proudly served his county in the United States Army. John gave back to Bolivar, by serving as city councilman for several years. He was a volunteer fire fighter and donated his time and heavy equipment to build ball diamonds for local youth. John also served as a trustee at his church, Mt. Gilead Methodist Church. We will remember him as a good son, loving husband, wonderful dad, devoted friend, hard worker and most certainly a good man.
