John Waterman's Obituary
John Allen Waterman, son of John Andrew and Edith Franks Waterman, was born January 3, 1957, in Grant, Michigan. He departed this life Sunday, March 1, 2009, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-two years, one month, and twenty-eight days. On September 17, 1976, he was united in marriage to Debbie Lea Couch, and to this union one daughter and one son were born. His parents preceded him in death. John is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Debbie, of the home; a daughter, Stacy Fohn, and her husband, Anthony, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, John Waterman, and his fiancée, Lynsey Heichberger, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Morgan Cavanaugh, Gwen Waterman, Maddie Fohn, and Cohen Waterman; four brothers, Don Waterman, and his wife, Bonnie, of Tunas, Missouri, Wayne Waterman, and his wife, Debra, of Lebanon, Missouri, Edward Waterman, of Springfield, Missouri, and Frank Waterman, of Montreal, Missouri; six sisters, Sue Carnes, of Monett, Missouri, Hyda Garrett, of Denton, Texas, Kelly Grimes, and her husband, James, Gail Waterman, and Carol Parrott, and her husband, Ira, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Edith Waterman, of Tunas, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Michigan, raised in the Eldridge community and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. After he and Debbie were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their family. For most of his life, John worked in car detailing and ran his own business for the last several years. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing and hunting. He also liked working in his garden each spring and summer. He loved his family deeply and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday March 5, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in the Hufft Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday evening 7-8:30 pm under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
