John and Karlene moved back to the family farm on Pleasant Valley Road in 1975. His life was the farm. He loved a great black and white cow. The breeding, longevity and the milk production of his registered Adam-Sons Holsteins was a major part of his life. They made many friends throughout the country showing their dairy cows and heifers. Together with his wife, Karlene, he lovingly made a home for his family. Johnnie was a member of Lead Hill Freewill Baptist Church, where he enjoyed his fellowship with his church family. In his spare time, Johnnie enjoyed mushroom hunting with his mother and father, and sister; he also enjoyed grabbing and gigging for yellow suckers. He really enjoyed doing genealogy the last few years with his sister, Sue, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. Johnnie was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many friends. He will be deeply missed.
