My sincere condolences to Johnny's family. I am so sorry to read this. Johnny was a great friend in my & his teen years. We started a rock 'n roll band together in high school. He was my best man at our wedding. I will always remember Johnny's friendship. I always thought he was the coolest guy around and seeing his picture for the first time since 1976 - he still is!

Our family indeed was truly blessed by John sharing the later years of his Christian life with us.
And we too take comfort in knowing he is now with his Beloved mother, sister and son, all with Jesus.

I can't help but rejoice for John in his homecoming, but oh how he will be missed. He touched so many lives and hearts for Christ. He was so unique and wonderful. He was like many people in the Bible who had a true love for our Saviour and even though he failed from time to time he never stopped wanting to live his life for Jesus. he knew he wasn't perfect but always rejoiced that he was forgiven. My prayers are with you all and may God give you peace and comfort and even joy in your memories.

He Sure Was and Is a Beautiful Soul.A person could just tellby the way he spoke carried himself and treated others. He was refreshing and Welcoming... Someone Funny & Cool! Really Good at puttin Folks at Ease... So many Talents...He'd help Ya if he could and only if you'd let him...He didn't complain...To hear him tell it, He was about the happiest most blessed man that ever lived... So many wonderful memories of John. He was always so kind. The words he spoke after Abram's death are with me daily: "Treasure your children".
Our Santa will be sorely missed. I'll always treasure the time I found Santa and Mrs. Claus stranded on the side of the road on a dark, cold, rainy night as they'd had a flat tire on their way to Exotic Animal Paradise for the Christmas exhibit. How proud I was to 'save' Mr. & Mrs. Claus and get them to their destination. We never cleaned all the glitter out of the car that Santa left behind - it was our proof that we had met the 'real' Santa!!
