Johnny Lealand Hawkins (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Johnny Lealand Hawkins was born February 12, 1962 in Lebanon, Missouri to Arthur Hawkins and Freeda Vaughn Hawkins Daniels. He passed away Friday evening, May 31, 2024, at Richland Care Center. He was sixty-two years, three months and nineteen days of age at the time of his passing.
Johnny was born and raised in Lebanon, Missouri. He had an appreciation for automobiles and was employed by several area car dealers as a driver. He enjoyed driving cars all over Missouri and beyond. He also was employed by Chester Wood at W-W Tire Company and helped Jason Hildebrand set up and load out equipment when Jason’s band performed. He served as a security guard for several area businesses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Hawkins and Freeda Daniels; his sister, Betty Jean McDaniels; and a brother, Ernie Hawkins.
He is survived by two brothers, Arthur Vaughn and Ricky Vaughn, both of Lebanon, Missouri; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Johnny will be remembered for being a good story teller and a good friend to many. He liked to attend auctions and he collected “various treasures”. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and being outside in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks. He also liked listening to music and traveling.
Johnny will be missed by many, but the stories he shared and memories he made will live on for years to come.
Services for Johnny Hawkins will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11a.m. at Mount Rose Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be held in the Mausoleum from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Memorial Park.
in lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to assist the family with funeral expenses and donations may be left at the funeral home.
