Johnny Lynn's Obituary
Johnny Lee Lynn, son of John and Alice Elliott Lynn, was born August 12, 1936, in Clinton, Missouri. He departed this life November 19, 2008, in his home, near Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, three months, and seven days.
In 1955 he was united in marriage to Laveta Duke and together they spent fifty wonderful years until her passing on April 11, 2005.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Joyce Lynn; two sons, Leslie and Michael Lynn; and two brothers, Bob and Ed Lynn.
Johnny is survived by three sons, Leon Lynn, and his wife, Carla, of Mansfield, Missouri, Ronnie Lynn, and his wife, Becky, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Gerald Lynn, of Warsaw, Missouri; a daughter, Beckie Stalder, and her husband, Nathan, of Grovespring, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; his loving companion, Cindy Brown; a brother, Gary Lynn, of Fair Play, Missouri; and two sisters, Shirley Gardner, of Deep Water, Missouri, and Elaine Storm, of Kansas City, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
He was born and raised in Clinton and in 1982 moved to Mansfield, where he worked on the farm.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Johnny was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 21, 2008 in Hensley Cemetery, in Mansfield, Missouri with burial following, under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, of Mansfield. Visitation will be 7:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home. A memorial has been established in care of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 199, Mansfield, Missouri 65704.
