Jonathan A. Underwood (Seymour)'s Obituary
Jonathan Andrew “Jon” Underwood, the son of Paul Euthel Underwood, Sr and Clara Edith (Love) Underwood was born January 11, 1958 in Davenport, Iowa. He departed this life Thursday January 19, 2017 in his home in Seymour, Missouri at the age of 59 years and 8 days.
On May 28, 1976 he was united in marriage to Sebia Sue Pitchford and then on in June of 2004 he was united in marriage to Charissa Cay North and one son Steven North was born.
Jon went to Seymour schools and graduated in May of 1976. After high school he went into the United States Navy. He retired in November of 1995 when the military was downsizing, with full 20 year benefits. He was an AE2 Aviation Electricians Mate Second Class.
He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Clara Underwood; 2 sisters Lillian Nancy Underwood and Estell Marie Underwood; 3 brothers Benjamin James Underwood, David A. Underwood and Floyd Eugene Underwood as well as 2 nieces Eula Marie Underwood and Kendra Lin (Underwood) Lumor.
He is survived by his son Steven North; 3 brothers Paul E. Underwood, Jr. and wife Edith of Hilton, Oklahoma, Harvey J. Underwood of Seymour, Missouri and Ernest E. Underwood and wife Lois of Marshfield, Missouri; 3 nephews, 6 nieces, 12 great nephews, 8 great nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jon enjoyed playing D & D, spending time with family and friends and making Indian jewelry, dream catchers and other Indian stuff.
He will be greatly missed but will live on in all our memories.
