Joseph Harvey Campbell (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Joseph Harvey Campbell, son of Gerald H. and Ella Mae Keeney Campbell, was born October 10, 1963, in Waynesville, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday July 28, 2019, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-five years, nine months, and eighteen days.
On July 7, 2007, he was united in marriage to Lisa Michelle Wood, and they were married for twelve years and together for fifteen years.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Daryl Campbell.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Lisa, of the home; a son, Eric Campbell, of Union, Missouri; a step-daughter, Heather Patterson, of Lorraine, Ohio; two step-sons, Jason Hawk, of Bentonville, Arkansas and retired Sergeant James Wilson of Jefferson City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Brayden, Brooklyn, Trevor, Alex, Eli, Gretchen, and Ryelynn; his mother, Ella Campbell, of Lebanon, Missouri; his brother, George Campbell, of Lebanon, Missouri; a nephew, Chad Campbell, of Lebanon, Missouri; two nieces, Stephanie Campbell, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Jessica Rogers, of the State of Illinois; three brothers-in-law, Joe, Brad, and Scott; three sisters-in-law, Treena, Amanda, and Becky; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Waynesville and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1982. He then worked for Independent Stave Mill, now Missouri Cooperage, and the Bear and Nationwide Trailer Companies for several years. He had been employed by Alvin Jackson Used Cars for the last ten years.
He was a hard worker and enjoyed collecting knives. He liked listening to Rock and Roll music, playing video games, and watching baseball, football and wrestling on television. Joe had a great sense of humor and liked to joke around. He would sometimes get mad and when Lisa would say he didn’t have any patience, he would respond that he wasn’t a doctor. He especially enjoyed spending time at home with his friends and family, particularly his grandchildren.
Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held Wednesday evening, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
