Joseph C Daubert Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Joseph Clarence Daubert, Jr., son of Joseph Clarence Daubert, Sr. and Grace M. Shirk Daubert, was born September 3, 1940, in Annville, Pennsylvania. He departed this life Thursday, September 5, 2013, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, and two days.
On July 11, 1983, he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Wilkins Riggs, and they shared the last thirty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Leland Daubert; and a grandson, Daniel Woodard; and a brother, Thomas Daubert.
Joe is survived by his wife, Norma Jean, of the home; two daughters, Lynae Daubert, and Danette Woodard, and her husband, Joe, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Scott Daubert, and his wife, Emma, of Aurora, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Joey, Rebecca, Justin, Megan, and Nicole Daubert, Faith Stevens, and Kristina Thornbury, and her husband, Christopher; a great-granddaughter, Kierstin; three step-children, Jeff Riggs, of Lebanon, Missouri, Janet West, of the State of Kansas, and Pam Stanford, of Carl Junction, Missouri; a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Daubert, of the State of Pennsylvania; a sister, Jeanie Krause, of the State of California; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and graduated from high school in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He then entered the United States Army and served his country faithfully in Okinawa, Japan. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he made his home in California for several years, and began working as a mechanic. In 1972, he moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and worked for Montgomery Motors for several years, and then was employed in the automotive department at K-Mart for twenty years. Later, he worked for Cole-N-Sons Tire and Auto until retiring. Once he and Norma Jean were married, they made their home near Lebanon.
Joe had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior.
When his son was young, Joe worked as a Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, and liked working word puzzles. He greatly enjoyed square dancing and also liked to go hunting and fishing in his spare time. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations to Bolles Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, may be made at the funeral home.
