Joseph C. Hoover (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Joseph C. Hoover, loving husband, dad, papa, brother and friend, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. Joe was born January 12, 1941 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri to Heber and Blanche (Smith) Hoover.
After high school, Joe enlisted and served in the United States Navy. After serving his country he returned home and established Joe Hoover Trucking. The special friends he made while trucking were his life-long friends.
On March 2, 1996 Joe was united in marriage to Sandra (Koll) Hoover and they were blessed with a large combined family of 10 children. Joe was known for his unconditional love and his great hugs! We were all very blessed to have been showered with his love.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Harry, Donald, David Wayne; his father and mother- in- law, Elmer and Orienne Koll.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sandra Hoover and their children, Michael (Kristina) Hoover, Shelli (Kevin) Ray, Tami (Jerry) Foley, Kelley (Darren) Douglas, Kimberly (Robert) Belsha, Kozette Theel, Dana (Gary) Worley, Derek (Barrie Ann) Welborn, Deanna (Byron) Moore, Stacie (Ronnie) McNew;
his grandchildren that he loved so much and was so proud of; Logan, Christian, John, Levi, Brittany, Austin, Kaitlyn, Stephen, Sara, Anthony, Alex, Karla , Savannah, Joshua, Aarika, Chase, Conor, Brittnie, Shane, Austin, Aubrey, Cortni, Morgan, Brooke, Haylie and Alexa; a sister, Linda (Richard) Maskus; sister- in- law, Joyce (Gene) Moeller and brother- in- law Richard (Jo Ann) Koll; several great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home with burial following at Dooley Bend Cemetery in Galmey, MO. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project through Butler Funeral Home.
