Joseph "Joe" Scott Davenport (Seymour)'s Obituary
Joseph “Joe” Scott Davenport, son of James and Regina Lamoureux Davenport, was born March 10, 1968, in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on December 26, 2015, in Drumright, Oklahoma, at the age of forty-seven years, nine months, and sixteen days.
He was preceded in death by a son, Justin Scott Davenport; his parents and grandparents; and a half-sister, Donna Holstion.
Joe is survived by a daughter, Haley Nicole Davenport of Springfield, Missouri; sister, Debbie Smith and Steve Miller of Mansfield, Missouri; stepmother, Sue Davenport of Stillwater, stepsister Denise and Bill Richards both of Chandler, Oklahoma; Sheri and Tim Porter and Rhonda Harrell; stepbrother Rick and Marsha Davenport, nieces, Jackie and Shawn Roland, Pam and Chad Smith, Rhonda Potter; nephew, Frank Potter; wife, Lisa Davenport, as well as other relatives and many friends. Joe was born in Springfield and attended Seymour High School. He lived in Greene County until moving to Oklahoma 9 years ago where he was a mining supervisor for Quapaw Mines. He was a proud member of the Oklahoma Mining and Blasting Association Union. In his spare time he loved spending time with his daughter, hunting, fishing and being outdoors and liked listening to all types of music. Joe was a loving father, brother, uncle, husband and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the many great times we had together. The Family will receive guests from 2:00PM to 3:30PM, at which time there will be a memorial service to honor Joe's life.
In lieu of flowers, Joe's family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Haley Nicole Davenport fund (Joe's daughter), and may be left at the funeral home.
