Josephine Booher (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Josephine Faye Booher, daughter of Arnett and Lillie Mae Coffman Taylor, was born January 11, 1928, in Huntington, West Virginia. She departed this life Sunday, November 25, 2018, in Southeast Hospital, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of ninety years, ten months, and fourteen days.
On January 5, 1974, she was united in marriage to James Gladstone Booher, who passed away on April 12, 2018.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Robert Wilson, in 2004.
Josephine is survived by her children, Lucky Wilson, and his wife, Sharyn, of Kamuela, Hawaii, Brenda Suhrstedt, and her husband, James, of Roseburg, Oregon, and Debra Goodhart, and her fiancé , Ronald, of Fruitland, Missouri; her grandchildren, Lee Wilson, & his wife, Randi, Donnie Wilson, Tony Molitar, Eric Molitar, Cheri Goodhart, and Tami McCarthy; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, and continued to live there for several of her adult years. After she and Art Smith were married, they made their home in various locations where Art’s work took them. During those years, Josephine was a devoted homemaker to her husband and a loving mother to her children. She also worked at various jobs at that time. The family eventually settled in Arizona where Josephine did factory work for several years. Once she and James were married, they continued to live in Arizona for some time and then moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where they made their home for over thirty-five years. While living in Lebanon, Josephine worked as the retail manager of the Dollar General Store. For the last three months she had made her home with her daughter in Fruitland, Missouri.
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making special recipes for her family and friends. She also enjoyed writing letters to people that she knew and loved.
Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her ninety years.
