Josephine L. Schwarz (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Josephine Lee Schwarz was born October 6, 1946, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, and passed away Friday, January 29, 2021, in her home, near Phillipsburg, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, three months, and twenty-three days.
On October 6, 1968, she was united in marriage to Charles Schwarz, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, on May 13, 2015; and two brothers.
Josephine is survived by two daughters, Ruth Kirk, and her husband, Jared, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Crystal Weaver, and her husband, Bobby, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Charles Schwarz, Jr., of Phillipsburg, Missouri; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in West Virginia. After she and Charles were married, they made their home in various locations while he was serving in the military. They had lived in Kansas, Texas, Colorado, and in Germany before he retired and they moved to Phillipsburg, Missouri. Throughout the years, Josephine was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.
She was an excellent cook, liked keeping things clean, and had a delightful sense of humor. She was a very kind woman who always put other people’s needs ahead of her own. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, MO. A visitation will be held in Holman-owe Funeral Home Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
