JoVanna Frances 's Obituary
Jovanna Lee Frances Ruble Potts, daughter of Hobert and Lorri Llewellyn Ruble, was born October 25, 1981, near Tuscumbia, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, April 2, 2011, in her home, near Springfield, Missouri, at the age of twenty-nine years, five months, and seven days.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, George Llewellyn; and her paternal grandfather, George Ruble.
Jovanna is survived by a daughter, Brooke Shockley, of the home; a son, Rain Shockley, of the home; her father, Hobert Ruble, and his wife, Annette, of Lebanon, Missouri; her mother, Lorri Walker, of Newburg, Indiana; a brother, Toby Ruble, and his wife, Shannon, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Mariah Ruble, Crystal Lackey, and her husband, Brandon, and Whitney Davis, all of Lebanon, Missouri; her maternal grandmother, Lorraine Llewellyn, of Falcon, Missouri; her paternal grandmother, Martha Ruble, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. She married Stephen Shockley and they were blessed with two children, Brooke and Rain. Jovanna had worked at Sonic Drive Inn, the Oasis, West End Caf?, and T?s Redneck Steak House, before becoming a nurse?s aide at Christian Health Care North. After moving to Springfield, she had worked at Red Lobster for a while. She was currently attending Everest Institute in preparation for a career in the medical field.
Jovanna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She greatly enjoyed sports and liked to be outdoors where her favorite activities were camping, swimming, and canoeing. She also enjoyed singing. She possessed a good heart and a very unique personality. She always liked to be the center of attention and was her Dad?s ?best buddy? for many years.
Jovanna was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
