On July 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to Billie Frank Finley, and to this union five daughters were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Florence Dunham; and a granddaughter, Michelle Cash.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Bill, of the home; four daughters, Holly Finley, and Loretta Dunham, both of Lebanon, Missouri, Teresa Martinez, and her husband, Sam, of Oakdale, California, and Cleta Mulholland, and her husband, Moe, of Modesto, California; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Clark, of Stephenville, Texas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Seymour, Texas and then moved to Modesto, California, where she met her future husband, Bill. After she and Bill were married, they continued to make their home in Modesto, California for forty-one years. Throughout the years, Joyce was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. In 1994, after Bill retired, they moved to Missouri and eventually made their home in Lebanon.
Joyce had professed her faith in Christ and attended Second Freewill Baptist Church in Lebanon.
She possessed a big heart and raised her children and two of her grandchildren in a very loving environment. She was a woman of great strength and courage and was a cancer survivor. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and rocks, and liked doing crafts projects of various kinds. Her family was always the center of her life and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the special memories that she created for her family and friends.
