Joyce A Moore (Seymour)'s Obituary
Joyce Ann Moore
On Sunday morning, February 3, 2013, God called his daughter Joyce Ann Moore home to glory at the age of seventy-two years, six months and twenty-five days. Daughter of Vernon Paul and Verba Arvella (Ashley) Moore, Joyce was born July 9, 1940 in Bryant, Missouri.
The Moore’s moved to the Seymour area when Joyce was 18 months old. It was then that Joyce joined her church family at the Seymour Holiness Church and faithfully served there throughout her life. She attended Ragsdale School for the first four years and then moved to Seymour area schools. She started working at the Shoe Factory in Seymour, Missouri and then went to work at Fasco Industries in Ozark, Missouri in 1968. Loyally she went in early and got home late, working every day until she retired in 2002.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Joyce is survived by her sister Joann Fleetwood and husband Bill of Seymour, Missouri; many cousins; her church family; as well as a host of other dear family and friends.
Joyce found favor in sharing her talents singing praise in her church, putting her heart into each song. She lived her faith each day of her life; sending encouragement in cards, making phone calls just to say, “I am thinking of you.”, or cooking your favorite foods to make you smile. Children had a special place in her heart, teaching Sunday school for many years she loved them as her own. Never idle, Joyce loved working in her flower garden, and making needle point quilts with arrays of colors as brilliant as her smile. She could spend hours window shopping, just looking at the “pretty things” never missing the details. And often she saw the same in others, never missing the things people might take for granted.
Brave, faithful, a humble servant and devoted sister; Joyce Ann Moore leaves behind a testimony of love. She loved her Lord in the good times and the bad times, never doubting the truth of his love. She loved her family and her church family unconditionally. She loved her neighbors giving generously without wanting anything in return. We celebrate her life and accomplishment, cherishing the wonderful memories she created for us, taking comfort in the truth through our Lord Jesus that we will meet again.
