Joyce Robinson's Obituary
Joyce Robinson, daughter of Willard and Celeste Ione Percival Jeffries, was born January 21, 1927, in Miller County, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, May 22, 2006, in her home, near Montreal Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, four months, and one day. Early in her life she was united in marriage to Roy L. Neal, Sr., and to this union four sons were born. Later in the 1970’s, she married Ticie O. Robinson, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and her ex-husband, Roy Neal, Sr. Joyce is survived by four sons, Milton Neal, and his wife, Susan, of Montreal, Missouri, Roy Luther Neal, Jr., of Brumley, Missouri, Larry E. Neal, and his wife, Diana, of Meta, Missouri, and John R. Neal, and his wife, Melinda, of Montreal, Missouri; a step-daughter, Judy Molt, and her husband, Ed, of Warrensburg, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Collette Denise Linder, Melanie Rae Berhorst, Rachael Danielle Ingold, Jason Edward Neal, Angela Donnette Robertson, Marinda Danielle Patton, Anita Lynn Harrison, James Richard Neal, Jana Lynn Neal, Jedadiah Gunby, Noah Gunby, Gabrial Roach, Christopher Molt, and Matthew Molt; nine great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Brumley, Missouri area and graduated from Brumley High School. She then moved to Wichita, Kansas where she went to Nursing School. After she and Roy were married, they made their home in Kansas City for the next ten years. She then moved back to the Brumley and Montreal area and made her home. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and a loving mother, Joyce also worked as a maintenance manager at a resort for years. Joyce had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brumley Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers and plants. She loved cats of all kinds, liked watching public television, reading and writing. She had written several novels. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 9:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations to the St. Labre Indian Christian School may be made through the funeral home.
