Joyce Ann Stewart (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Joyce Ann Stewart, daughter of Everett Lyle and Helen Lucille Larson Nelson, was born March 15, 1958, in Webster City, Iowa. She departed this life Wednesday, January 1, 2020, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, nine months, and seventeen days.
On May 29, 1976, she was united in marriage to Glen Dale Stewart, and they shared the last forty-three years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Beth Lee Stewart.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Dale, of the home; two brothers, Alan Nelson, and his wife, Peggy, of Lebanon, Missouri, and William “Butch” Nelson, and his wife, Kristi, of Webster City, Iowa; three sisters, Velma Stewart, of Lebanon, Missouri, Donna Stimson, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Dorothy Hively, and her husband, Kris, of Goldfield, Iowa; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from Webster City High School, in Webster City, Iowa. After she and Dale were married, they made their home in Iowa until moving to Lebanon, Missouri in 1983. Throughout the years, Joyce was always a devoted homemaker to her husband.
Joyce and Dale had visited several churches through the years.
In her spare time she enjoyed doing craft projects, embroidery, fishing, and collecting salt and pepper shakers. She liked raising chickens and spent a lot of time with them. She possessed a delightful sense of humor and enjoyed having time with her family.
Joyce was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her them during her lifetime.
A memorial has been established to Breast Cancer Research.
