Juanita Lee Barbasiewicz (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Juanita Lee Barbasiewicz, daughter of Charles W. and Rose Lee Blount Smith, was born June 20, 1932, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She departed this life Monday, December 9, 2019, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, five months, and nineteen days.
On July 15, 1955, she was united in marriage to Henry Barbasiewicz and to this union three daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Braxton, Walter, and Judson; and a sister, Amelia.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Henry, of the home; three daughters, Eva Moser, and her husband, Wes, of Woodward, Oklahoma, Frances Crass, and her husband, David, of Saukville, Wisconsin, and Annette Garcia, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, David Barbasiewicz, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Heather, Christopher, Maria, Cecilia, and Richard; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Julia, Ian, and McKenzie; a great-great-grandchild, Piper; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in a military family and lived in various places including Colorado and Florida. After she and Henry were married, they continued as a military family and lived in numerous locations including, Michigan, Japan, New York, Colorado, Texas and Wisconsin from 1971 until 1989. They then lived in Port Washington, Wisconsin until retiring. Juanita and Henry retired to the Ozarks and made their home in Lebanon.
She was involved in the V.F.W. Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed traveling, painting, reading, playing cards and doing craft projects. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren.
Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home and burial will be at 2 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville.
