Juanita J. Buck (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Juanita Jeanette Buck, daughter of Horace A. and Oda Viola Creach Moore, was born November 18, 1925, in Minorca, Arkansas. She departed this life Monday, October 26, 2020, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of ninety-four years, eleven months, and eight days.
In 1940, she was united in marriage to Ned K. Goss, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born. Mr. Goss passed away in 2004.
Later in her life, she married Charles Buck, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Horace Moore, Jr.; and three sisters, Reva Leroux, Lavern Hopkins and Ruby Flotow.
Juanita is survived by a daughter, Jeanette Howlett, of Waynesville, Missouri; two sons, Duke Charles Goss, and his wife, Vanessa, of Waynesville, Missouri, and Neddie Goss, and his wife, Beth, of Osage Beach, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kelly, Julie Beth, Rex, and Jezell; seven great-grandchildren, Mia, Ava, Alexander, Audrey, James, Liberty, and Gabriel; a brother, Dwayne Moore, and his wife, Joyce, of Doniphan, Missouri; a sister, Caroletta Harness, of Murray, Kentucky; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Missouri and then lived with her sister in Seattle, Washington for a time. She made her home in California for a few years before coming to Missouri and making her home in the Waynesville area. She later lived in Fredericktown, Missouri for several years, but eventually returned to Waynesville. Juanita worked at the Fort Leonard Wood Commissary for about thirteen years, and was also a devoted homemaker to her family. She later became the franchise owner of the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Fredericktown, Missouri for fourteen years. She also had worked in home health care and delivered Meals On Wheels for a time.
She loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. She liked to dance and fish. She was always busy working and was a good mother. She was a source of strength to her family during difficult times and had lots of grit. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
