Juanita Faye Chastain (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Juanita Faye Chastain, daughter of Issac Pruett and Grace E. Armstrong, was born October 10, 1933, near Willow Springs, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in her home in Richland, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, two months and three days.
In October of 1952, she was united in marriage to Martin Chastain, and to this union three daughters and a son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Martin D. Chastain; her daughter, Janet Carney; two granddaughters, Belinda and Donnita Carney; and a granddaughter, Christina Hankins.
Juanita is survived by two daughters, Linda Sutton, and her husband, James, and Marla Hankins and her husband, Skip, all of Richland, Missouri; two grandchildren, Melissa (Jonathan) Stradt of Richland, Missouri and Marty (Steven) Hankins of Waynesville, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Kelsea, Rylea, and Kailyn; and three great-great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Samuel and Anslee; two brothers, Carl Pruett, of Richland, Missouri and Elmer (Donna) Wasmer of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other friends she made throughout her life.
She was raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon Schools. Throughout her lifetime, Juanita made her home in several towns in Southwest Missouri, including Long Lane, Buffalo and Richland. Juanita spent the last 25 years in Richland.
Juanita enjoyed playing Bingo and going fishing. She also made many friends while working 25 years for the H.D. Lee Company in Lebanon.
She had followed the Pentecostal Faith throughout her life.
She loved her family very much and enjoyed being with them as much as possible. Juanita certainly enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Services for Juanita F. Chastain will be Friday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 15 from 5- 7 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Flatwoods Cemetery. A memorial to Flatwoods Cemetery has been established and donations may be made throught the funeral home.
