On September 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Charles Edward “C.E.” Dampier, and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, C.E., on September 13, 1979; four brothers, Lloyd E., William E., Vernon A., and Clyde E.; three sisters, Betty J., Joyce J., and Bonnie M.; and an infant sibling.
Juanita is survived by a daughter, Janice Fowler, and her husband, Steve, of Lebanon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Jennifer Fowler, of Lebanon, Missouri; a grandson, Jeff Fowler, of Lebanon, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Chris, and Mackenzie Jackson, and Cody Fowler; two brothers, Lonnie Myers, and Roy Myers, both of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Nebo community. After she and C.E. were married they made their home in Lebanon, where they lovingly raised their daughter. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Juanita also worked for the H. D. Lee Company in Lebanon for twenty-five years. Later, she worked at LDTC & Link for ten years, retiring after she was in her eighties. She had a wonderful ability to work with handicapped children and also took care of her sister, Bonnie, after her parents passed away.
Juanita had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Thomas Chapel Church, near Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and reading. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making pretty dresses for her daughter while she was growing up. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-five years.
