Juanita Holler (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Hetty Juanita Holler, daughter of Roy and Goldie Lillard Davis, was born December 12, 1916, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, June 26, 2014, in Northridge Place Assisted Living, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-seven years, six months, and fourteen days.
On March 4, 1944, she was united in marriage to Carl William Holler, and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl, on April 19, 1989; a daughter, Frances Chaffin; and a sister, Maxine Wood.
Juanita is survived by a daughter, Nita Wolken, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Bill Holler, and his wife, Pam, of San Antonio, Texas, and Jim Holler, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert M. Davis, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Lebanon, but was raised by her aunt and uncle in Iowa following the death of her mother. After she graduated from high school, she returned to Lebanon. When she and Carl were married, they made their home in various places while her husband served in the United States Air Force. They lived in California, Colorado, Florida, and Missouri, and eventually retired to Lebanon.
Throughout the years, Juanita was a devoted homemaker and mother to her family and was a supportive wife to her husband, especially while he was serving in the military. Later, she became an Avon Representative for a few years, and also delivered Meals-on-Wheels.
Juanita was a longtime member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church where she had served as Chairman of the Board.
She had also served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross and at the Lebanon Care Center. In her spare time she was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting hummingbird statues. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her ninety-seven years
Memorial donations may be made to the Mo. Association of the Deaf, and left at the funeral home.
