Juanita Mozell Shay (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Juanita “Mozell” Shay, 82, of Bolivar, died in her home, Saturday, January 26, 2013.
She was born in Bolivar, January 8, 1931, the youngest of nine children to James M Watson and Kathryn (Kate) Haralson Watson.
She was saved at the age of 12, at a revival meeting in Dunnegan, MO. She was an active member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Bolivar.
Mozell met Johnny Willis and was married till his passing. Later she married Leo Black and they had three daughters together, Rhonda Ashlock, Becky Minor and Reitha Shover. In 1967 Mozell married J.B. Shay and to this union they had a son, Kelly Shay.
In her later years she was a homemaker and made quilts for each member of the family. She enjoyed her family, friends, and church friends very much.
Preceding her in death were her parents; James and Kathryn Watson; five sisters, Erma Kaudle, Eldalean Waggoner, Zelma Haralson, Hester LaMont; infant, Claudia Watson; two brothers, Parker Watson and Clyde Watson; two husbands, Johnny Willis and J.B. Shay.
Survivors include; one brother, George Watson of Bolivar, MO; three daughters and spouses, Rhonda and Wayne Ashlock of Bolivar, MO, Becky and Eric Minor of Republic, MO, Reitha and Scott Shover of Halfway, MO; one son, Kelly Shay of Bolivar, MO, seven grandchildren; Kyle Ashlock, Laura Coker, Katie Baley, Zac Minor, Eli Minor, Jason Essex, and Jamie Butler; seven great-grandchildren, Ben, Parker, Andy, Aubree, Hailey, Adison and Marlie, there were also many nieces and nephews.
