Juanita Tremain (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Juanita Ann Hubbell-Robertson-Tremain, Age 91, of Morrisville passed away in the early morning hours on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri.
Juanita was born at home in Niangua, Missouri on November 23, 1931, to Lockie Mae McCormick and Charles Rufus Hubbell. Juanita was proud to have been part of the graduating class of 1950 from Seymour High School. She enjoyed playing softball, home economics, and hanging out with her close girlfriends.
After high school Juanita started working at Jim’s Dry Cleaners on the square in Marshfield. One day while working, a soldier entered to bring his uniform in to be dry cleaned. Juanita was immediately taken aback. His name was PFC Homer A. Roberston of Niangua. They were united in marriage by Rev. Henry Long on October 24, 1952, in Springfield, Missouri. They shared almost 30 years together in Marriage.
During their life together they owned and operated Nu-Way Cleaners. Together they ran a farm where they raised and showed registered Quarter horses. They enjoyed spending their free time together playing with their Irish Setter Duke. They always appreciated each other’s company while on their trips to Indian Point Boat Dock on Table Rock Lake. They held on to each other until the very end when Homer passed away on April 20th, 1982. Juanita knew she would never love again.
After being informed of a single, sweet lady running a certain dry cleaners, Irl “Bud” Tremain thought it would be a good idea to go visit. After five years of persuasion, Bud and Juanita were married on July 7th, 1987, in Bolivar, Missouri.
She had truly found a new special friend in Bud who taught her how to love life again. Together they raised a basenji named Sandy who will be with them always. During their marriage Juanita’s eyes were open to a brand-new life. Together they traveled the world, met new friends, and just couldn’t get enough of each other. Bud passed away on August 26, 1999, in Springfield, Missouri. For years Juanita found many secret hidden notes behind all sorts of objects from Bud, never letting their love die.
Looking for purpose, Juanita found it in continuing their philanthropy. whether it was volunteering at CMH auxiliary, the history museum, giving her time helping with daycares at numerous Churches, being involved with the Red Hat Society, founding The Tremain Family Hospitality House on the campus of CMH in Bolivar, or establishing the Lockie Mae Hubbell food pantry in Webster County. She was never afraid to donate her time or resources.
Juanita is preceded in death by her Parents, Her Husbands Homer and Bud, and all eleven of her brothers and sisters.
Juanita is survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Amongst them, Mark Hubble and his husband Dale Fowler of Bolivar, Missouri. Her nieces Kathy Kernoul of Salem, Oregon and Sherrie Thornton of St. Mary’s, Kansas. Juanita is also survived by her six stepchildren.
A special thanks to everyone who has been there for her. We are beyond grateful.
