Juanita professed her faith in Christ early in her life and was an active member of the Oakland Community Church, where she served as treasurer until this last week.
In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and baking. She was particularly known for her cakes and wedding cakes were her specialty. She helped in furnishing transportation for the elderly, seeing that they had rides to various places. She remained very involved in community activities until just recently. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren.
Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.
