Judith Pooler's Obituary
Judith “Judi” Kay Pooler, daughter of Walter C. and Margaret E. Templeton Brauer, was born February 17, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, March 14, 2009, in her home, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of sixty years and twenty-seven days. On July 29, 1967, she was united in marriage to Roy K. Pooler, and to this union one daughter and one son were born. Her parents preceded her in death. Judi is survived by her husband, Roy, of the home; a daughter, Glenna Anthony, and her husband, Steve, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Troy Pooler, of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren; a brother, Sam Brauer, of Bethany, Missouri; a sister, Vicki Calhoun, of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Oak Park High School in the Class of 1966. After she and Roy were married, they made their home in the Kansas City area and lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Judi was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Judi had made her profession of faith in Christ and established her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. While her children were in school, she volunteered in and around the schools they were attending. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and gambling, particularly playing slot machines. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. Judi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday March 17, 2009 at Mt. Rose Memorial Park under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society. Donations may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
