Judith Porter (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Judith Ann Porter, daughter of George and Martha Yates Ruble, was born October 15, 1943, in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, March 30, 2018, in the Select Specialty Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, five months, and sixteen days.
On April 1, 1971, she was united in marriage to Robert W. Porter, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; a daughter, Martha Gladden; and two brothers, Arlis Ruble and Leland Ruble.
Judith is survived by a daughter, Suzzann Chappie, and her husband, Kip, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a son, Bobby Porter, of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Allen, Krystal, and Patricia; three great-grandsons, Owen, Alex, and Kayden; five brothers, Kenny Ruble, Hobert Ruble, both of Lebanon, Missouri, Luke Ruble, of Springfield, Missouri, Jackie Ruble, of the State of Oregon, and Russell Ruble, of the State of Arkansas; four sisters, Helen Wheeler, Diana Myers, both of the State of Oregon, Mary Martin, of the State of Washington, and Georgie Porter, of the State of Maine; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area. After she and Robert were married, they made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their children. Through the years, Judith was a devoted homemaker to her husband, and family.
Judith had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Glad Tidings Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was very artistic and did drawings and sketches. She was also an excellent cook. Her family was very important to her and her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She possessed a beautiful smile and always seemed to be smiling.
Judith was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
