Judith Marlene Spear (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Judith Spear age 76, of Pleasant Hope, passed away on Sunday evening, August 9, 2015. Judith was born on July 10th, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She moved to Pleasant Hope, MO with her family in 1974. Judith served in the U.S. Navy and is survived by her husband Joe of 57 years.
Judith has one son, Joseph (Joey) Spear and his wife Karen of Poulsbo, WA. And one daughter, Jeanne’ Losurdo and her husband John of Pleasant Hope, MO. Judith also has three grandsons, Paul Ackels, of Pleasant Hope, Joseph Anthony Spear of Seattle, WA, and Tyler Colin Spear of Poulsbo, WA. Also one granddaughter Stephanie Ackels Doutt and her Husband Aaron of Fort Irwin, CA. Judith has five great grandchildren, Clarissa Ackels of Bolivar, Mo. Oliver Ackels, Olivia Ackels of Fair Grove, MO. Kaitlyn Doutt and Elijah Douttof Fort Irwin, CA. Judith has one sisters Janice Asbury of Lebanon, Indiana and one brother-in-law Kenneth Sklka of Indianapolis, IN. Judith is also survived by her “adopted daughter” Jeanette Jacobson of Bolivar, MO
Judith is proceeded in death by her parents Alvin and Kathryn Colter and two sisters Jean Colter and Joyce Skalka and two brother Jack Colter, James Colter and a brother in law Charles Asbury. Judith is survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of many relatives and dear friends whom she loved very much.
Judith was saved in December of 1985 on Pennsylvania Highway. Before her passing she told her great grandchildren that she was going to go to sleep and be with Jesus and to make preparation for themselves. Judith will be sadly missed by all the dear little children she had in her life. Her greatest saying was her easiest day was yesterday.
Services for Mrs. Spears will be conducted by Pastors Doyle Mayfield and Dewayne Burdette 10:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Butler Funeral Home Bolivar, MO. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Butler Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery, Pleasant Hope, MO.
