Judy Kay Cribbs (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Judy Kay Cribbs was born on November 17, 1944, to Dixon and Wilma Acuff (Creed). She departed this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, after a courageous battle with Kidney Cancer.
Judy was raised on her parent's farm near Morrisville, Missouri. She graduated from Marion C Early High School in 1962. As a young girl, she was saved at the Oakville Baptist Church and baptized in the Sac River. She faithfully attended Bolivar First Assembly of God Church for 57 years.
On October 22, 1965, Judy married Darrol Cribbs. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Kevin and Kim.
Judy was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed hosting family and friends for holidays and special events. A plate of her delicious sugar cookies was always present at every family gathering. An avid reader, Judy always had a book close by.
During her life, Judy acquired a large circle of friends through her activities as a wife and mother. These included Silo Ridge Auxiliary, Silo lunch, bridge, and dominos. Judy had a kind and gentle spirit. Through her life she was always doing something to meet the needs of others in her family and community.
Judy took great pride in being a grandmother. She was affectionately known as “MoMo” to Cooper, Caitlyn, and Carly. Judy faithfully attended their activities so long as her health allowed.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Darrol, her parents, Dixon and Wilma Acuff, and her brother Jerry Acuff.
Judy is survived by her son, Kevin, and daughter, Kim, her grandchildren, Cooper, Caitlyn, and Carly, her brother, Randy Acuff (Betty), many nieces, nephews, and a large circle of family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
Funeral services for Judy will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at First Assembly of God in Bolivar, Missouri.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for memorial contributions to be made to the Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center in honor and memory of Judy.
Services are under the care and direction of Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar.
