Judy Jackson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Judith Lee Jackson, daughter of Malcolm and Wilma L. Haney Jones, was born March 15, 1942, in Conway, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, January 27, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, ten months, and twelve days.
On July 21, 1959, she was united in marriage to Jerry D. Jackson and to this union, two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jack Jones.
Judy is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Jerry, of the home; two sons, Steve Jackson, and his wife, Angie, and Reggie Jackson, and his wife, Stephanie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Pavin and Payne Jackson; a sister, Linda Goodman, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Conway, Missouri, and attended Conway Schools. After she and Jerry were married, they made their home near Lebanon and lovingly raised their sons. Judy was a devoted homemaker to her husband and was a sweet and caring mother to her sons. She enjoyed caring for her home and made her family the center of her life. Judy also worked and co-owned Jackson’s Jeans in downtown Lebanon with her sister-in-law, Rose Mary Hull.
Judy professed her faith in Christ at the age of twelve at the Conway Baptist Church.
She enjoyed decorating her home and tending to her garden. She enjoyed working with Jerry in caring for their horses and also loved her dogs. She possessed a colorful personality and a delightful sense of humor. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will remember and cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
