Judy Marks' Obituary
Judy Lee Marks, daughter of Clarence and Leda Garland Richardson, was born August 25, 1942, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, April 6, 2009, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years, seven months, and eleven days. On August 26, 1961, she was united in marriage to Bill Joe Marks, and to this union two daughters and one were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Bill Agee; an infant brother; and an infant sister. Judy is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; two daughters, Kim Marks, and her husband, Jack Cyr, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Kristy Marks, and her fiancé, Casey Waller, of Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Kevin Marks, and his wife, Liz, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Josh Marks, and Angela Dawn Jones, and her husband, Scotty, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Kandise, Kristen, and Kara Jones; two sisters, Betty Marks, and her husband, Bud, and Joann Marks, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a half-brother, Clarence Robert “Bob” Richardson, and his wife, Trudy, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; two step-sisters, Leola Corbin, of Shell City, Missouri, and Louise Goff, of Nevada, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in Laclede County, Missouri and graduated from Conway High School in the Class of 1960. After she and Bill were married, they made their home in Kansas City for a few years, and then returned to the Lebanon area. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Judy also worked at the H. D. Lee Company, where for several years she was a supervisor. Judy was raised in the Baptist faith and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in her early years. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, particularly through her favorite mountains in Colorado. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories that Judy created for them. Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday April 10, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Long Lane, Missouri. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial to the Curry Cancer Center has been established.
