Judy Ann Short (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Judy Ann Short, daughter of the late Don Franklin and Esther (Reed) Haney, was born on October 1, 1944 in Plad, MO and departed this life on December 20, 2022 at her home near Plad, MO. At the time of her passing she was 78 years, two months, and 19 days of age.
Judy was raised in the Plad, MO area and graduated from Windyville High School. She worked in Medical Insurance Filing for several companies before retiring after more than 35 years. Judy enjoyed taking care of her pets, showing horses, and going to yard sales.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon Haney and Virgil Haney; and one sister, Gaylene Dugan. She is survived by her son, Donnie Short of Hermitage, MO; her daughter, Angel and husband, Dan Dotson of Buffalo, MO; five grandchildren, Charly Sullivan, Tabby Short, Chad Short, Kallen Short, and Katie Dotson; and five great-grandchildren, Makayla Short, Breken Sullivan, Tatum Sullivan, Lane Short and Bowen Short. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.
Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Elliott officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Polk County Humane Society.
